Kids’ Proud To Be American Contest

WELCOME to’s Poetry Contests for Kids…
Members and non-members – contest is open to members and non membembers during
July in celebration of Independence Day.
There are a few guidelines that must be followed in order to “qualify” for entry, however, the guidelines are simple.
In order to “qualify” for this contest entrants must meet the following conditions:
  1. Young poets must be between the ages of 5 and 16 and must live in the continental United States of America or
  2. Young poets must be members of
  3. Non members must submit their poetry entries to’s Blog.
  4. Members submit contest poems to blog or email them from Contest Prize page.
  5. All entrants must write poems about the Contest Theme (see below).
  6. Only one entry per person is allowed.
Contest Theme – “I’m Proud To Be An American Because…”
This means your poem must be about why being an American makes you proud.
Contest Entry Due Date is July 25, 2010 – so get writing and submitting those poems!
ALL CONTESTANTS!! Read and follow contest rules or have someone read and explain them to you.
Not following contest rules is grounds for disqualification! reserves the right
to disqualify any poem entry deemed to not follow the rules.
Remember in addition to writing, submitting, and posting poems, you can take poetry lessons, get poem critiques,
